| Extra Help for Students Ms Murphy is available to work with students before school at 7:15, during homebase reading by arrangement, during the last half of workshop on Day 2, and after school by appointment. E-mail is checked in the morning, mid-day and after school. |

Student ? Do you have your agenda, proper binder, and homework when you arrive in class? Do you raise your hand when the teacher asks questions? Do you participate as a member in group work? Do you take notes that you can read? Do you ask question if you do not understand directions? Do you stop by for additional help if you need it? YES is the winning answer to these questions!! |
| Homework Policy Homework is due when homework is due. Students who have not completed HW must do so during the next available recess/quiet study. Repeated failure to attend these required sessions will result in disciplinary detentions. Students who are absent are required to touch base with Ms Murphy when they return, preferably during homebase of their returning day to see what they have missed. |
Organizational Tips Students are requested to bring the following materials to school for language arts: a 3-ring binder, lined notebook paper (no spiral please!), 5 dividers, pencils with erasers, erasable pen, highlighter and colored pencils. All students receive an AGENDA at the beginning of the school year. Is your notebook organized? Are all papers filed where they belong? Are there NO papers in the inside pocket of your binder? YES is the winning answer to these questions!! |
Make Up for Quizzes and Tests Students may choose to retake low ( D or F) tests or quizzes by arrangement with Ms Murphy. Students should stop by and set up a time either during recess/quiet study or the second half of workshop on Day 2. |
